One for Chess Records (Bender One Series)
This is the first appearance of One for Chess Records (Bender One Series) at the Big Blues Bender.
2027Chess records defined the sound of the blues on vinyl by producing the seminal records of Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry, Etta James, Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Little Milton, Lowell Fulson, and Muddy Waters.
The Chicago blues sound went on to spark the pop and rock revolution inspiring artists including The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, and the Beatles.
Today the sounds and soul of those artists live on through the artists who grace the stage at The Big Blues Bender. We pay homage to Chess and the genre they defined with our retrospective: “One For Chess Records”.
