Artist at Large... Hailing from New Jersey but laying roots in Pittsburgh, PA, his long time soul man has cut a path all his own. From his first band, “The Rhythm Kings” he was recruited to perform with Blues Giant Roy Buchanan. Longing for the Southern Soul that keep him glued to the radio in his teenage years, Price struck out with a new outfit “The Keystone Rhythm Band” and gave the western Pennsylvania Appalachians a Southern-fried soul-shake for over a decade. Continuing his career, in 2015, Price renewed efforts with a long time collaborator Otis Clay, and they struck Blues gold with the album “This Time for Real” winning the Blues Music Award for Soul Blues Album of the year. Billy has lived the music and will be quick to tell you, Soul Music is a language conceived in the gospel and the message is in the singer's delivery. For Billy Price, the shared enthusiastic experience and relationship with the audience from a pulpit that is called a stage is indeed his church.
